EKHO: A Decade of Passion, Music, and Independence

Ten years ago, in a university sound engineering classroom in Thailand, two musicians crossed paths—Eva, a Malaysian composer and vocalist with a gift for melody, and Kevin, a French guitarist whose roots ran deep in rock and metal. What began as a collaboration between two passionate artists soon evolved into something greater: the birth of EKHO.

Their first single, "Paper Plane," was recorded on campus, marking the humble beginnings of a journey that would take them through Bangkok’s independent music scene. Small gigs turned into growing audiences, and before long, EKHO became a recognizable name among Thailand’s underground music enthusiasts.

The Evolution of the Band

No band thrives on just two members forever. Recognizing the need for a fuller sound, Kevin reached out to his childhood best friend, Thanawat—a bassist with a French-Thai heritage and a deep love for funk. His grooves added a new dimension to EKHO’s music, bridging the gap between rock energy and rhythmic sophistication.

Completing the lineup was Yarn, a Thai drummer whose precision and power solidified the band’s foundation. With the quartet now complete, EKHO’s sound matured into a dynamic fusion of pop-rock, blending catchy hooks with raw, guitar-driven intensity.

The Sound and Message of EKHO

EKHO’s music defies simple categorization. It’s pop with an edge, rock with a melodic heart. Their lyrics resonate with universal themes—dreams, ambition, nostalgia, and an unwavering belief in positivity.
